Welcome To Montello Primary School

Montello Primary School is situated in a park setting near the Burnie City Centre. Nearby are Burnie Aquatic Centre Police and Citizens Youth Club. The school has created strong community partnerships, in order to fulfil our mission of Making People Shine, assisting all students to maximise their learning that they might confidently face the challenges ahead of them as independent lifelong learners.

At Montello Primary we strive to build quality relationships within our community between students teachers and parents. We recognise parents as the child's first educators and believe in creating partnerships to optimise learning. In addition to the core learning areas we offer a range of support programs such as LIFT, LIL, Literacy Intervention, Keeping Kids Connected, BillyCATS, a Life Skills program, pre-Kinder Learners Program, Physical Education, ICT, Kitchen & Garden, Water Awareness and Learn to Swim programs and Breakfast Club.

We treat the responsibility of educating children very seriously and encourage both formal and informal opportunities to meet and to build a team approach to improve learning outcomes for all children.
